There are a number of reasons why professionals join SIPMA.
- SIPMA provides an opportunity to receive continuing education in the field of Human Resources/Personnel Management by featuring guest speakers who present important and timely information on relevant topics.
- By interacting with colleagues, SIPMA members gain insight into new and innovative ways to approach HR issues.
- SIPMA members are given an opportunity to make new friends with people who share a common interest while also sampling some of the finest restaurants in southern Illinois.
- SIPMA members can interact on a daily basis through a private, members-only message board on the SIPMA web site.
Meetings
SIPMA meets on the third Thursday of each month, except in July, August, and December. An informal gathering that allows for excellent networking opportunities usually precedes meetings. The meetings begin at 5:30 p.m. with a social time and dinner, followed by a business meeting, speaker presentation or company tour, and a legislative update. A question and answer session follows each program. Our June meeting ends the year with a fun celebration of all the hard work that we have accomplished throughout the year. In the past we have done all sorts of things for this meeting such as winery events, picnics and murder mystery dinners.
SIPMA meetings are held at some of the finest restaurants in southern Illinois! In light of the economy, SIPMA understands the financial situation of both you and your company. Therefore, we try to make dining choices that meet any budget.The site changes each month to accommodate the wide geographic spread of our membership. Members are notified in advance via email with the location and the agenda for upcoming meetings.
Cost
Annual membership dues are $40 per person ($100 for 3 or more). The membership year extends from January through December. The only other member expenses are the cost of meals at the monthly meetings and the registration fee for the annual conference. Most companies are willing to reimburse for these expenses. Receipts are provided at the meeting for this purpose.

Fill out all the information on the application and send it with your check or money order of $40 ($100 for 3 or more) to the address on the application. As a member, you will be receiving the monthly meeting announcements as well as a userID and password to log on to the MEMBERS ONLY section of this site.
